I'm not saying that the visits to the Schirn were already a habit, but my excitement was very limited, to be precise, I only got a little nervous when I was getting ready. But before the Sunday trip there was another nice appointment - a visit to Ivonne in the hairdressing salon. What can I say, get ready, grab your handbag and go. When I still think of earlier times and open my trembling hands at the door. I no longer worried about the neighbors. Surely it would be another moment of shock, but I stopped listening to see if something was going on in the stairwell and went out in one go. What a relaxation.
The stay with Ivonne was a little longer this time. The next development step was pending, I wanted to have highlights. I had discussed with Ivonne that it should loosen up my style, but not jump out at everyone. As expected, she did her job perfectly. I confess when I walked out of the store I was kind of elated and could have danced home. I spent the rest of the day in the home office, including some video conferences (with selected colleagues). Not unimportant, Melanie also liked the new style.
It went out again just two days later. This time together with my very dear colleague Martina. The three of us looked at the exhibition by Ugo Rondinone. I did find myself looking at the ground to avoid stares, but it was far less common. Tram, Romans? Everything is no longer really an issue. Since we were through the exhibition much faster than we thought, we decided to make a stopover. Not at a bar table in a corner where Melanie got us something (like after the last visit to the Schirn) but in a restaurant right next to the Schirn. Something different in a busy restaurant compared to the times in Hanau, where we were almost the only customers. I found the way to the second restaurant along the busy Mainufer surprisingly pleasant and quite relaxed. I was able to really enjoy the time even in the rather cramped Coq au vin in the middle of Sachsenhausen.
It was certainly a special afternoon, but in a very nice way it wasn't a special event either. Martina in particular gave me the feeling that this was a completely normal meeting of friends and colleagues. I'm really looking forward to further meetings in this constellation, maybe to a concert or to the theater.
Next up is the family reunion, which Nicole will attend for the first time, or is planning to attend. Even two days before I'm anything but sure.
I'll report - until then
All the best
Your Nicole
