I recently told my boss that I have the feeling that for some time my world has been spinning faster than the rest of it. In the last blog I wrote that the first colleagues had switched to Nicole and that I had the first few days when I was in the bank myself. A few more days have been added since then and nail polish and lipstick have also become bolder.
Now that emails are circulating with Nicole in them, I spoke to my boss and told him what has happened since our last conversation on this topic. At that time I answered his questions with Christian. Now he has joined our colleagues. So that his boss is not surprised by this at some point in a meeting and looks confused, I spoke to him this week and told him what is currently happening. I also received a great and positive reaction from him, including his promise to switch too. He also supported the idea of appearing at the management meeting in March with Nicole on the name tag.
Since then there have been other colleagues who have spoken to me, all of them are very open-minded. I am aware that over time I will certainly meet colleagues in the bank who have no understanding for me at all or who reject it, but so much positive encouragement is really good. I already wrote it on LinkedIn after I came to the office more femininely: I am happy to work in a company where I can be who I am. This has become clear again in the last few days.
I am really excited about the big offsite. But I am also looking forward to the weeks leading up to it. I feel so relaxed and comfortable living as I am, not just in my free time, but now also at work. It is simply unbelievable that this is happening just six years after my trip to Europapark. Back then I was at my wits' end after the hours and now I deal with it completely relaxed at work.
I am sure there will be many more interesting experiences.
