Party - completely relaxed

It was a super great weekend in Osnabrück, but that's actually not true. It was a perfectly relaxed, perfectly normal weekend and that's what made it such a great weekend after all. Just be me for four days. It all started on Thursday, when I painted my nails in my favorite red, which raised the question of whether I should pick up the rental car from Europcar as Nicole. Actually, the alternative was only briefly in mind and so on Friday we took a taxi to Europcar with a dress and a large handbag. I was served in a very friendly and completely normal manner, only the supplementary ID card, which I had handed over as a precaution with my driver's license and ID card, visibly confused the employee, who was still in the process of training, more than it helped. As soon as we arrived we saw a blue jeep that Melanie liked very much because she sat higher in it and I liked it because it matched the handbag so nicely. After we had our luggage in the car, we made our way to Osnabrück. Like last time, my brother-in-law and sister-in-law greeted me warmly and informally. In the evening we drove to a Chinese restaurant nearby - relaxed and unexcited.

On Saturday, Melanie, Ulla and I did the weekend shopping along with a short detour into town. Crowds, cobblestones, pumps and me in the middle of it like I do it every Saturday. To celebrate, I dressed up again. Then we went to the city by bus. Yes, there were surprised looks from some of the guests, or whatever. It just didn't bother me that night. Delicious drinks and delicious food, relaxed conversations and just a good time. The first part of Sunday was spent relaxing in the garden and doing some handicrafts with my brother-in-law in the house. For the late afternoon we were invited to the home of the two hosts from the previous day. It was so easy and so wonderful, from the bathing suit quickly slipped into the denim dress, put on some powder and lipstick - done and ready to go. I didn't have much contact with the family of Melanie's brother's girlfriend the night before, but I was given a very warm welcome that Sunday afternoon.

On Monday we had breakfast with Ulla and Jörg and after a short visit to Melanie's mother we went back to Neu-Isenburg. Bring your luggage upstairs, drop off your car and the long weekend was over.

I've written so many times about nervousness and tension, about pounding hearts and lumps in the throat. I didn't feel any of that during those four days, not for a second. It was by far the most liberating days I've experienced. I saw myself positively. I didn't feel more "vulnerable" in a dress (I wrote about this on my second trip to Basel) than in pants. On the contrary, I felt incredible self-confidence in this outfit and caught myself a few times this weekend how exhilarated I was.

It can go on like this until then

Your consistently happy

Nicole
