This time I actually just wanted to briefly report on an event that I went to with my gel nails, but then a conversation with my best friend reminded me of something that I would also like to report on.
But first to the event. A week ago I was at a two-day event with around 80 colleagues. The question was gel or not gel and if so, should I shorten it significantly or not. I decided to use gel and not trim. Since it had been three weeks since the last time, I went to the nail salon the day before and had my baby boomers done. I set off on Thursday, curious to see whether anyone would bring it up or comment. It was impossible to hide my hands for a day and a half among all my colleagues. The nails were always visible when drinking, eating or working in a team. Only one colleague spoke to me about it in the evening. She noticed my nails and asked if I would do them myself. We chatted briefly and completely casually alongside other colleagues about it and how often we went to the studio. That's it. I thought it was great how naturally I could move around among colleagues there and how easily we could talk about it. Which brings me to the chat with Claudia.
I told her that I had gone to the office the day before with cloth. We then talked about how many things in the office, sometimes even small things, were definitely Nicole and not Christian. It started with the hairstyle, went on to a few little things on the face, the earrings and some of the clothing and finally to the fingernails. I have to say that when I looked at the list in detail, I was quite surprised. Also about the fact that there was hardly anything missing, which I described to myself as 100% Nicole. Defacto it was full make-up, certain curves and maybe a pair of pumps. But infact I also wear the white sneakers as Nicole. Of course, I was aware that a lot had changed and that I had become braver or more confident in many things, but this list still amazed me.
I am excited which way it will continue. Hopefully you too.
Until then, all the best
Your Nicole
