From Tokyo we moved back to Germany. The first time I lived in a small furnished apartment. Maybe it was because of that and the suddenly frighteningly bad internet connection (compared to Tokyo) that I came up with such crazy ideas. I bought an epilator and started epilating my legs. It was still an old model with a rotating spiral, not comparable to the devices that are now available. I even pierced my own ears and tried to hide them from the office. Of course, since I rarely wore any, they were quickly closed again. Even when I moved into my own, larger apartment, it took a woman, my current partner, to stop things like this. Of course, the reflex to throw everything away was there again, but it was the first time that I resisted it. I don't remember when exactly, but this time I confessed it at a fairly early stage and saved my utensils.
Despite that, my new relationship hasn't had a beneficial impact on Nicole's life. Sometimes I used a business trip from my girlfriend, sometimes a home office day. When I was alone overnight, I also ventured out into the street for a walk very late at night. But I also gradually ventured out of cover by telling more and more people. Gradually, many friends and family members were added who were connected to both people and also accepted both for who they were.
Soon the evening on the balcony and the nocturnal tour were no longer enough, but on the other hand there was a lack of courage or drive to change this. Luckily I was able to convince Claudia that she could help. With her support, the times pushed forward and the tours became longer and longer. I still lacked the courage to come up with some ideas, but it definitely helped to move forward.
Then an idea grew between us that, from the perspective at that time, should feel like my very own landing on the moon. The next time we will continue under the keyword Basel.
Bye for now
Your Nicole
